Over the last 2 years, Exotic catalysts such as Ace of Spades, D.A.R.C.I., and Sleeper Simulant have truly changed the weapon meta in Destiny 2. In the case of the exotic linear fusion rifle, the Sleeper Simulant, this weapon generates Orbs on multikills and displays the number of enemies defeated by using it. When upgraded to a Masterwork, this weapon receives additional bonuses. It is found in the greatest challenges of the astral pinnacle. However, now that its catalyst can drop, it is only going to get better from here.

Destiny 2 Sleeper Simulant Catalyst Review

Sleeper Simulant Catalyst from Spire of Stars Raid Lair is an excellent catalyst that makes this a beast with minuscule charge-up time. To upgrade Masterwork kills with each Escalation Protocol weapon: 1,000 Sniper Rifle kills, 1,000 Shotgun kills, 2,000 Submachine Gun kills.

Sleeper Simulant’s laser over wounds enemies and bounce back off hard surfaces and it is very easy to kill yourself. You need to be careful because it also comes with a trait moving target and it is something that makes that reticle extra sticky when aiming down sights. The weapon has a quick charge time of +75 Charge Time Accelerated Coils.

With the catalysts, you cannot do the same thing with accuracy. You can do the same thing with Actress or new Tractor Cannon but the dilemma with both of those options is you usually have to close the gap and when you have somebody like a good dawn blade or maybe even a good hammer that can maintain a distance from you it is difficult to shut them down. Sleeper Simulant does not have this difficulty.
When using Sleeper Simulant in PvP do not go for the headshot it does not even matter just go for the body. The main disadvantage of this weapon in PvP is you only get two shots and that is it, the advantage is those two shots will be a guaranteed kill as long as you have got quite a decent aim.

The shotgun data part of the Sleeper Simulant Catalyst is bugged. It is not progressing with the shotgun received from the new dungeon.
Whereas kills with the SMG and Sniper received from the Exodus focused engram is delivering progress to the catalyst.

How to get Sleeper Simulant Catalyst

The Destiny 2 Sleeper Simulant Catalyst is going to be hard to get if you are an average player. We believe that most of you are not likely in raid groups, but you are certainly not in raid groups that are finishing the Spire of Stars raid lair, and that is where the Sleeper Simulant exotic catalyst can drop: the Prestige version of the Spire of Stars raid lair. We are talking about a 380 Power Level for the Prestige version of the Spire of Stars raid lair.

Even if you succeed to complete the prestige Spire of Stars raid lair, there is no guarantee that the Sleeper Simulant Catalyst will drop. The possibility that across dozens of prestige Spire of Stars completions you will get the catalyst to drop is low. To decrease your odds, make sure to complete this raid lair on prestige on all three characters, believing you can manage the power requirements and have five other Guardians who are in for that level of commitment.
