Path of Exile 2 Release Date

As of now, there is no release date for Path of Exile 2 yet but GGG is unlikely to start a Beta until at least very late 2020. Path of Exile 2 will have a new set of Exiles (characters) who belong to the same class archetypes as those in the original game. You can choose from a set of 19 new Ascendancy Classes that vary from the old ones that are, however, available in the Path of Exile 1 campaign.

Path of Exile 2 for PlayStation

Grinding Gear Games has officially announced that Path of Exile 2 is going to launch on platforms such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Path of Exile has proved to be one of the best free-to-play game on PlayStation 4. Now, it seems like its sequel could be a lead title on PlayStation 5.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s next Xbox, currently codenamed Project Scarlett, both have a release window sometime during Holiday 2020. Path of Exile 2 is among the few titles we guess might be released on the new generation of consoles.

It also looks like Path of Exile 2 will be releasing to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X but not Nintendo Switch. In an interview at ExileCon in Auckland, Grinding Gear founder Chris Wilson told that the idea is to launch Path of Exile 2 on the current generation of consolesĀ and the ones to follow.

“We will update Path of Exile into Path of Exile 2 on all the platforms it is currently on,” Wilson explained. “We, of course, will target new consoles as they’re available as well. And with our release timeline, it is very likely [Path of Exile 2] is on the new consoles as well.”
